To my knowledge, when hit at the right time this is the best channel catfishing in the world.It's not uncommon to catch several thousand pounds of fish in two or three days, usually averaging around the 15 pound mark, with an upper size limit in the high 40 pound range, and a legitimate shot at a 30 + on any given trip.I'm told the walleye fishing is equally as incredible if you catch it at the right time, the ice fishing season is supposed to be epic as well.The new ownership is still renovating, but so far they have done a great job and they are incredibly accommodating and friendly.The boat launch right below the dam is the centerpiece for me, but the floating dock you can rent out, complete with poll holders and a gazebo is also pretty great.The fish run here run up from lake Winnipeg, the 11th largest lake on the planet, and pile up in the Red River beneath the lock, which combined with the health of the surrounding ecosystem and the good stewardship of the the fishery, make this a truly world class destination that can be accessed on middle class budget.

AMAZING experience! Our guide Eric was a superb host from start to finish and taught us all the basics on how to fish in less than 2 min. We caught over 10 catfish in 3 hours. I would definitely recommend it for anyone. Even kids!

This was by far one of the best experiences that we have ever had fishing. Eric made sure that we were very well entertained, and that everyone had a great time. We had guests in from out of town and this was the highlight of their trip. Everyone caught multiple catfish, and they really put up a fight. Awesome day!

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Stopped in to launch the boat and buy some bait. Colin, Trisha and Eric are always so friendly and helpful.I recently lost 4 x 4 in my truck and had some difficulty getting out of the boat launch. Colin was there without a thought, and was ready to pull me out.Incredible service, great selection, great hours and affordable rates. Can’t recommend this family owned business enough.Thank you!
